Miss Snark steps up to the plate armour
Miss Snark has been asked a market question to do with historical novels. As usual, she gave a thoroughly sensible reply. However, I am amazed at the question, which seemed to infer that there weren't any new authors in historical adventure. There are of plenty of 'new' names (as opposed to a grandfather clause that the enquirer refers to). People like Simon Scarrow, Conn Iggulden and Julian Stockwin who have appeared in the last few years, for example.Above all, Miss Snark says: 'You have to write the thing that fills you with passion.' I agree with that, as well.
