Diane Setterfield

Diane Setterfield is a local (to Yorkshire) author who has sold her first novel, The Thirteenth Tale, for lots of money. Hurrah! I heard her speaking on Woman's Hour and she was forthcoming about her journey to publication. She's been on courses, been critiqued, the lot, so perhaps it's worth it after all.

Wow, and what a nice amount of money. I'd be glad if I got a third of that for my first, that would still be above average. ;-)

Good luck to her. It will be interesting to see how it sells in the shops.
