All hail the special effects prop-makers

My favourite tv reviewer writes in The Guardian, and today she turned her attention to two programmes I watch. She has wry humour, and both Rome and Lost delightfully got the brunt of it. Vorenus and Pullo are indeed the Laurel & Hardy of Rome :-)

Gosh, is Nancy Banks-Smith really still doing the Grauniad's TV reviews? Her column was one of my fave reads about 25 years ago. The review almost made me want to catch up with "Lost" which lost me a few episodes ago.

I enjoyed the Cleo episode of "Rome", mainly for the unintentionally funny bits, like the non-talking heads. Whenever Cicero comes on, I see Mr Collins from the Beeb's Pride and Prejudice (same actor). Now I think about it, Cicero and Mr Collins were both pompous asses.
